Memorabilia On Smith has been running Sports Memorabilia auctions since its inception in 1987 and aids sporting clubs, schools, kindergartens, corporations and charities in their fundraising efforts by supplying a wide range of sporting memorabilia at wholesale prices.

The sale of Sporting Memorabilia at Club Auctions is one of the growth areas in fundraising for community-based sporting clubs, education centres, corporate events and charity organisations.

Income raised from Club Auctions can vary from club to club, but are usually in the range of $5,000 to $25,000, depending on variables such as the number of people attending, venue, entry cost, function ‘style’, special guests etc.

Memorabilia On Smith has a huge showroom of sports memorabilia and collectables at its shop at 269 Smith St, Fitzroy. Most of our sports and entertainment memorabilia items can be viewed on this website and while the website is quite comprehensive, many other items of memorabilia are available, and any requests will be investigated regarding availability and cost.

A fairly standard procedure will be followed for each club that wishes to avail itself of this opportunity to raise funds.


1.   Initial Meeting and discussion of Club Requirements for the proposed evening

( Date, Venue, Costings, Main/Silent Auction Items etc. )

2.   Selection of Memorabilia Items for Main Auction and/or Silent Auction.

3.   Delivery arrangements for Memorabilia.

4.   On the evening of the auction all purchasers must pay for their products: No Items of memorabilia are to be otherwise removed from the premises.

5.   All Items supplied by MEMORABILIA ON SMITH  are on a ‘sale or return’ basis.

6.   Return of any unsold goods at a time suitable to both parties.

7.   Monies owing to MEMORABILIA ON SMITH on all items sold are payable within 14 days.

8.   Copies of all paperwork involved in both the silent auction and the main auction to be supplied to Memorabilia On Smith

Please note that the Silent Auction may be run in conjunction with virtually any other social event.

( eg. Trivia Night, Sportsman’s Night, Annual Dinner, etc)

A Silent Auction is where products are placed around the room accompanied by a Silent Auction Bidding Form that allows people interested in purchasing that item to bid to win the item.  The final bid is the winning bid.  The item is paid for on the night and taken by the successful bidder.

A successfully run Auction Night can be the greatest fund raiser of them all and can set up your club to have a very successful year.  There are many ways to maximize the profits to be made, for example, products may be sponsored by local business, hence gaining the maximum result for the club.
